Dr. Michael T. Allen
Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dr. Michael T. Allen is a proud native of Thomaston, GA, and continues to call our small city home. He earned his B.S. degree at Valdosta State University. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Emory University School. He is currently a member of the Georgia Dental Association and the American Dental Association, with broad dentistry experience.
Dr. Allen completed an advanced family dentistry residency at Fort Jackson, right outside of Columbia, SC, focused on comprehensive patient care. He built hands-on experience in family dentistry settings and focused on patient-first care. During his residency, he underwent specialized training in:
- Cosmetic Dentistry
- Dental Implants & Extractions
- Crowns & Bridgework
- Root Canals
- Oral Cancer Evaluations
- Full & Partial Dentures
After pursuing his education, Dr. Allen climbed the ranks in the army and eventually became a Captain. He spent three years living on an army base in Germany. He lived in Germany during the fall of the Berlin Wall. While in Germany, he worked as a dentist and taught cosmetic dentistry, as well, building additional experience.
After serving in Germany, Dr. Allen returned to his hometown of Thomaston, GA, where he opened his own dental practice to offer continued care. Dr. Allen is married to his wife, Glenda, who can often be seen helping around the office, supporting patients and staff.
